Moore's Law

Wikipeda defines More's Law as
"... a long-term trend in the history of computing hardware. Since the invention of the integrated circuit in 1958, the number of transistors that can be placed inexpensively on an integrated circuit has increased exponentially, doubling approximately every two years."
Yesterday I purchased a new 2GB memory stick for £7.50 on special offer from the stationary shop over the road. Not only is this incredibly cheap for an amount of memory that only a year ago would have set me back about £30, but the memory stick in question is ridiculously tiny. I think as these things are becoming half the price, they're also increasingly becoming half the size. Amazing. I'm thinking of registering now to get my left finger nail replaced with a silicone implant.

I also bought in incredibly tiny, incredibly cheap 8GB usb key, probably from the very same stationary shop as you me duck, the key was so small in fact, that I lost it in less than 24hrs.
Brilliant.
