So - twitter is that's it, Twitter is now mainstream. I've been on it for 3 years now, so to me it's old hat. Back in the beginning there was me, Flo and Ade in our Dare office, sitting across from each other twittering away and nobody else knew how we automatically knew how each others journeys to work had been. Some of our colleges assumed we had a telepathy.

2 years later Stephen Fry got on. Then the world followed.

So, what's next? There's all sorts of new and wonderful things out there... but for me the simplicty of twitter is what has guaranteed it's continuing success. No photos, no special invites or walls, plugins etc.... just one question "What are you doing?" I think this appeals directly to ones sense of self-importance.

Communication or masturbation? I'm not sure and could easily construct arguments for either school. One thing however is certain; simplicity rocks.
